Set in the heart of Yorkshire, White Rose Books is a family business based in Thirsk. Sue Lake and her late father Steve Clements opened the shop in Thirsk in October 1995, to offer a modern, quality bookselling environment. Caroline Nicholls (sister) assists Sue in the running of the bookshop, along with eight other great members of staff.

Our investment in technology gives us access to all British and American books in print, and enables us to dispatch orders at lightning speed; usually overnight! Many a local reader has been amazed when their lunchtime book order has been in the shop the next morning! As locals we specialise in the best

maps, walking guides and local interest titles for the area, as well as prints, cards and calendars.

We reward our regular customers with our Privilege Cardholders Discount Scheme, and our new Coffee Bar loyalty card is proving very popular too!
